Went to the farmer's market today. It was fun! The weather wasn't the greatest. It was overcast with showers, but we didn't let that stop our venture. Strawberries, rhubarb, onions, leafs...it was awesome. I bought half a flat of strawberries, which is a lot so the moment I got home I got to making strawberry bread. Tomorrow I'm planning on making cake to make some strawberry shortcake/longcake. (Once I figure out the difference!) But tonight?... Strawberry Milkshakes!!!

Today was an average day. Went to work, did mostly vaccines and exams, had fun meeting people and their pets. Nope, not a bad day at all. Sunny, high eighties...at least until the sky grew darker and the radio station we were listening to talked of thunder storms, hail, and a tornado that apparently touched down in Salem. Now, I didn't actually experience the hail or the tornado but we definately had some heavy rain with special effects (thunder and lightning!).

When I got home, Y and I went to the gym. Today wasn't a very motvational day for working out. We basically cruised on the treadmill for twenty minutes. Then we decided to work legs. Lunges, calf machine, those thigh machines that work both inner and outer muscles. Not bad, not bad.

When I got home again, I discovered that our basil plants are flowering! It's amazing! I never really thought of basil having flowers. It's kinda cool. Though our smaller rosemary seems to be drying out/dying. I'm going to try transplanting into another larger container to see if that will do anything for it.

Yay! Ice cream!

For gardening, D and I bought some basil, cilantro, chives, rosemary, and pineapple mint. Yeah, the pineapple mint was definitely my idea. We've had them for a couple weeks now, no one's dying off. They all seem to be growing, especially the pineapple mint and cilantro. When I get the time I'll add some pictures to it.
Awesome! Okay, starting today, new blog. There's a lot of things that I'm interested in right now. Gardening (on my little patio), baking, vermicomposting, reading, etc. I still love work and everything though! Well, lame as it is, that's all for now. I have to cook dinner for husband, D, and me!
